On Location Repair and Maintenance for Your Diesel-Powered Equipment

Just as they keep commercial trucks running, diesel engines also power heavy
equipment like pavers and backhoes. While they are known for their durability, even diesel-powered equipment will need service at one time or another.

Some of the signs your equipment is due for repairs include:

Trouble starting. Diesel engines depend upon compression in order to start reliably. If our service technician identifies a problem within the system, we can run tests to determine if there’s an issue with the cylinder heads or if dirty filters are not creating sufficient pressure for ignition.

Blue or black smoke coming out of your equipment’s engine. If you’re seeing this telltale sign of an engine problem, shut it down and call us for service right away.

Oil, coolant or hydraulic fluid leaks. Leaks are another indicator of the need for immediate repair.
